I can't think of a better description for me and what I do than "theWebGuy".After graduating from The Art Institute of Seattle, I've worked as a Lead Web Designer at Humongous Entertainment and Online Games Developer at Hulabee Entertainment; both childrens software companies. As well as on contract on numerous web projects for many other companies. While working at Humongous Entertainment as the Lead Web Designer, I had to wear many hats. I was not only designing the website, but also developing the back end, building the database, and working with cross-browser issues. I had the opportunity to initiate the redesign of Humongous.com, design the navigation, create most of the artwork, code the front-end pages with VBScript and HTML, and integrate it all into a structure that was easy to update and maintain. It was rewarding to be able to participate and lead in the full product-development cycle of Humongous.com. Unfortunately, due to changes in the corporate structure of the company, Humongous.com no longer exists as I created it.I was hired as the Online Games Developer for SportsSquad.com. I created more than 20 Flash games and activities for this kid-based sports website. The schedules were tight, and the games needed to be fun and bug-free. Many of the games I created had a turn-around time of less than one business week... from idea to design to development and testing. Unfortunately, the work I did for Hulabee (on sportssquad.com) isn't online anymore either. For the past couple years, I've been working from my home with Montana Banana; a Seattle based Web Design and Marketing company. It's been great working on so many different kinds of projects for business clients ranging from console video game makers to realestate agents. Out of all other jobs I've done, I've grown the most while working with Montana Banana because I'm not doing the same kind of thing every day... it changes so often. I'm their 'Senior Programmer'... just the title I want to have. The best place to see the work I've been up to is right here at jasonkenison.com.
