Traded in our old '91 Ford Crown Victoria Ltd for a shiny new*er* '03 Ford Focus. This is the first car my wife and I have had that's newer than a '95. It's nice and compact compared to the Ltd, of course. Feels good to drive around in something "modern".

Since Reba's a "stay-at-home-mom" now, River gets to go on fun excursions and adventures rather than sitting on the floor staring at me work. Today, Reba and River played out in the sun at the Portland Rose Gardens. It's really hot out (95°+), and from the looks of it, only River was brave enough to dip into the water a bit. Click Here for a video.

It was awesome. Darth Vader, Boba and Jengo Fett, and a bunch of miscellaneous Storm Troopers kept the peace... and were available for photos.
Grandma Kenison watched River over the weekend, so Reba and I took a short drive to McMenamins' Edgefield Hotel. It was amazing. I've been there two other times but just for lunch/dinner. You need an overnight to fully experience the whole place. The rooms and food were surprisingly inexpensive but still spacious and tasty. I highly recommend a stay.
