iPhoto

From: Apple, Inc.
Price: $79 as part of iLife

I work with alot of photos including client supplied images and Royalty Free images from various sources including Photos.com. It's important to have a) a quick and easy way to scroll through these images and b) a fast and efficient way to organize the images by various keywords/categories/etc. iPhoto does a great job and is really fast. I can drag and drop photos from iPhoto into my design applications or edit directly in iPhoto.

My only complaint, though is how it organizes folders. Instead of matching what I see in the left category/folder bar, it organizes things by year and rolls. Makes sense for family photos and such, but for web downloads it kinda makes it so you can't easily navigate to a particular file via the Finder (that is, "Windows Explorer" for us Mac users). Even so, it's great for my needs.
